DIN Is Noise is a musical instrument for Windows, Mac OS X and GNU/Linux,
Use your mouse & keyboard to make high quality music.
Live.
Improvise.

Inspired by central-asian bowed string instruments,
The Morin Khuur, the Kobyz, the Erhu, the Kamancheh, the Sarangi,
And the Cello.

An excellent Theremin when you arent playing right ;)
Or play a raga of Indian classical music,
With enough Meend and Gamaks,
To bring your Guru,
On her knees!

All right, it is a sound synthesizer.
And yes, it can accept input from your MIDI keyboard,
Notes, control change, pitch bend and clock sync.

5 oscillators.
1 for lead voice on the Microtonal Keyboard.
1 for plucked notes on the Keyboard-Keyboard.
1 for the balls of Mondrian.
And 2 for drones.

These drones arent those in Pakistan,
These are continous sounding tones,
Place them on any pitch,
As loud as you want,
Orbit them,
Watch them rise,
Watch them fall,
And bounce back.

The icing though is the Bezier curve,
Used on aircraft, boat and car bodies,
Abused by Luigi Colani,
But in your ableton hands, they sculpt waveforms,
Change timbre on every sculpt,
Proof is the FFT.

Goodbye again, Sine, Triangle, Pulse and Saw,
While we replace Carriers and Modulators with Bezier waveforms.

When attacks decay,
And decays attack,
What ADSR for?

Ableton used 9 lives for Bezier curves ;)
Curve thinks its better, but folks,
DIN is the djinn.

And now Batman has returned,
Because signal was on the fan.
